Cloudflare Introduces New VPN Service

Cloudflare Introduces New VPN ServiceVirtual Private-Networks (VPNs) have a lot of traction for their ease of facilitation, both among businesses and consumers. A VPN provides an uncompromising security to businesses and consumers around the world in terms of securing their data and connection. However, there is a flip side to all these services provided by VPN and that is the fact that it slows down your connection. That is for the simple reason that when using VPN, the traffic from your device has to go through another server before accessing the web.  Here is how a VPN works.

Cloudflare Introduces New VPN Service

However, Cloudflare introduces a new VPN service. Through this new service, the company has a found a way to deal with the downside of generic VPN by putting in place Google’s QUIC protocol into its new mobile-only VPN, Warp. It makes the connection run faster andenables your battery to work for long period of time while still keeping the privacy of the connection intact.

The best part about Cloudflare VPN is that it’s easy to use and adaptive to harsh conditions. That is to say, it works properly in conditions where there is constant changing between Wi-Fi networks, switching between Wi-Fi and LTE as well as captive portals which are commonly seen in public areas with free Wi-Fis.

VPNs for Mobile

With respect to VPNs which generally tend to slow down internet connection, Cloudflare VPN for mobile, Warp, has been doing phenomenally well vis-à-vis speed. Its performance is much better than other VPNs and the reason is Warp is built around a UDP-based protocol that is optimized for the mobile Internet. Also, Cloudflare VPN has an influence over massive global network that allows Warp to get connected with internet users across the globe within milliseconds.

Protecting Privacy

The other unique feature of Cloudfare VPN is with regards to customers’ privacy. Though Warp can be accessed through a free service via 1.1.1.1 app yet the company claims that it does not breach customer’s trust by capturing any user-identifiable data or selling browsing history. The company has publicly announced that audits will be performed by third parties to make sure that the privacy of the paying customers, which are usually companies, is not breached.

Relying on the scale, reach and flexibility of its networks which are constituted by its paying customers, Warp provides this free service to its users. Cloudflare has also a plan to introduce a premium version known as Warp+ which will be available in the future with a condition of low monthly payment. It will facilitate all its paying customers with more fast speed of internet connection.

Cloudflare VPN is recommended for all those who want to have fast internet connection with an uncompromising security. All those interested in trying Cloudflare VPN should download the latest version of the 1.1.1.1 app which is available in the App Store and Google Play.

Is 5G Dangerous to Your Health?

Is 5G Dangerous to Your Health?

In 2017, the EU 5G Appeal was signed by more than 180 scientists and doctors from all over the world and submitted to the European commission to demand for a moratorium concerning the planned 5G rollout. This was followed by an appeal to stop 5G in 2018 that has over 26,000 signatures to date. So, why are scientists and medical experts so adamant on stopping 5G rollout?

What is 5G?

5G means 5th generation internet or broadband connectivity that is made to deliver higher speed and better possibilities.5G allows up to 1000 times the speed of the current 4G which means you can stream 4k videos in seconds. The technology is also based on untapped spectrum unlike 4G and 3G that experience signal interference, delays and noise. It also allows real-time response between devices and the ability to connect many devices to one port without experiencing an overload.

Downside of 5G

  1. Radiation will be too close to human bodies. In order to achieve all that power, 5G has been developed on extremely high frequency that lies between 30 GHz to 300Ghz. unfortunately, high frequency doesn’t travel long distance or through buildings so the antennas have to be erected closer together.

What this means is that small cell towers will have to be mounted on almost all buildings, utility posts and even street furniture. While high frequency is already dangerous enough, the fact that cell towers emitting radio frequency radiation will be so close to our houses and offices is the main concern because radiation dissipates with distance.

  1. Long exposure. Unlike 4G towers that are far away from homes and you can be a bit safer when you are at home, tiny towers of 5G will be around you all the time. Even if you don’t use a cellphone or microwave, you will still be under 24 hours of radio frequency radiation exposure even in your sleep since the tower is right outside your house.

Health Issues Related to 5G

Over the last 15 years, cases of cancer and especially brain cancer has increased to alarming levels. Though the governments and telecommunication companies dispute this, the rise of cancer has largely been contributed by radio frequency radiation from cell towers in 3G and 4G regimes. With 5G being much more powerful and closer to humans, it is only fair to expect cancer cases to triple or even go beyond that. Other health issues being suspected by scientists include;

  • Infertility in men
  • Insomnia
  • Metabolic disruption
  • Skin damage
  • Immune system disorders
  • Neurological disturbances

Unfortunately, the rollout of 5G is happening whether we like it or not. The only thing you can do is to protect yourself from extreme exposure by limiting your use of 5G cellphones and other devices.
